“And do what? Be a coach? We’ll be in the same position.”

“I don’t have to be a coach.” But if I wasn’t, I had no idea what I’d do. I’d follow Dani to the ends of the earth if it meant I could stay with her. There was nothing that could stop me. I didn’t give a shit if I was her coach or not.

“Don’t talk like that. While I know you don’t love it, you need a purpose.”

“My sole purpose for being on this earth is to be with you. As long as I have you, I’ll be happy and fulfilled.”

In an instant, the wetness was back in her eyes, but this time I knew it wasn’t from being sad.

“Declan,” she sighed out my name dreamily, her mouth hovering over mine. “Don’t make me regret this.”

Before I could promise not to, her mouth was on mine. If I couldn’t say it with words, I’d show her with my body.
