New Year’s Eve
Playa Del Carmen
“Let’s slip away,” Luke whispered against the shell of my ear.
Smiling, I turned toward him. “What do you have in mind?”
I was shocked because everything had been going smoothly throughout the day. There were no ugly sneers from Ruby or any tension from the fight. Everyone seemed happy and that included Luke.
“He kissed my cheek. “I only wanted to be alone with you. You can’t blame me for wanting to spend as much alone time with you as possible. Can you?”
“Can’t say I do.” My hand rubbed up and down his arm. “What do we tell everyone? We were all supposed to go watch the fireworks together?”
“Leave that to me, beautiful. Come on, let’s go.”
He stood, scooting back his chair. All eyes came to him, curious as to what he was doing. “Alex and I are going to go enjoy the festivities alone. Alex?” Holding his hand out to me, I took it as I knew I’d always would every time he held it out to me.
After giving Anna a hug, I waved to everyone else. I felt bad we were leaving them, but I couldn’t fault Luke for wanting to spend as much time alone together as possible. After this it would be another two months before we saw each other, and I knew it would only be harder being away from each other. When I felt tears sting the back of my eyes, I squeezed Luke’s hand tighter. I was with him now and I would cherish each and every second I got to spend with him.
We left the table outside our bungalow. Anna and Colton had the resort bring our dinner to us. It had been nice. The food was amazing and with everyone behaving themselves, I had been enjoying being around them for the first time since we got here.
“Where are we going?” We were headed away from the bungalows and everything else.
“I have a little place set up for us down on the beach,” he smiled down at me.
“Are we going to have sex on the beach?” I skipped beside him with excitement. I’d always wanted to have sex on the beach.
Luke stopped dead in his tracks. One arm wrapped around my waist. “Is that something you want?”
“It’s always been a fantasy of mine, but if that’s not what you have planned it’s fine.” I looked out to the water embarrassed for sharing that with him.
Why couldn’t I have just gone along with whatever he had planned?
His hand cupped beneath my chin, he whispered. “Alex, you know you can tell me anything. I want you to and I promise to never make fun of you for expressing yourself.”
“I’m sorry I’m letting my past fuck up our present. It’s hard to change what’s engrained in me.”
“I know it is, baby, but you’ll get there. I know you will. Emotional abuse is just as damaging as physical.” Leaning down he brushed his lips against my forehead. “Now, if you want to have sex on the beach, I’ll give you sex on the beach. Let’s get to our spot before the fireworks start, shall we?”
“Lets.” Rising on my tippy-toes, I kissed him. It was short, but deep and passionate. It was my way of saying sorry for once again reverting to my old self and not trusting that I could say whatever to him. “Thank you, Luke. For everything. I mean it.”
Pulling me along behind him, Luke smiled over his shoulder. “I know you do, but you don’t have to thank me.”
I loved how easily he smiled. I swore every time he looked at me, his lips tipped up. Knowing I brought him that happiness made my entire body fill with warmth. My heart beat double time. I never thought I’d find anyone again let alone love, and now I was helplessly in love with Luke. The man I knew would make me feel this way for the rest of my life.
Luke stopped, putting his hands to my shoulders. “Stand here and turn around.” When I only looked up at him, he slowly turned me until I was looking the other way. “Don’t look until I tell you to.”
“What are you doing?” I laughed staring back at the way we came fidgeting my hands since I didn’t know what else to do.
“It will only take a minute,” he chuckled from somewhere behind me.
I could hear his feet shuffle in the sand a few times, but he was silent as he did whatever he was doing.
“Okay, beautiful. Now you can look.”
Turning around, I found Luke standing on a blanket with candles lit around the perimeter. Beside him was what looked like a picnic basket.
“When did you arrange all this?”
I had no idea when he would have had the time. We were with each other almost constantly since we landed.
“Sometimes it pays to be a little famous,” he shrugged, looking down at everything he’d set up.
Was he embarrassed by using his status?
Stepping onto the blanket, I picked up his hand and brought it to my mouth. “This is amazing and so sweet. I don’t care how you did it.”
“Sit,” he pulled me down next to him. “Since we just finished dinner, I have dessert for us.”
“I’d like to have you for dessert,” I purred.
“All in good time,” he chuckled.
Luke pulled out a bottle of champagne along with some chocolate covered strawberries, sitting them down next to him.
My eyes widened when a thought came to me. “Are you going to propose?”
Throwing his head back, Luke let out a bark of laughter. Still laughing, he pulled me into his lap, burying his face in my neck. Finally settling down, he kissed up the column of my neck.
“Not today, beautiful.”
Laying me down on the blanket, Luke painstakingly slow, started to remove what little I had on. After being out in the sun all day, I had put on a simple sundress with a pair of panties. Pulling my dress over my head, Luke smiled wickedly down at me. “Only panties, I see,” he groaned. “Fuck, you look so hot. Your tanned toned body—” he ran his hand down from my sternum to my stomach. “with these purple lace panties are driving me wild.”
His fingers plucked at the thin strings on each side. My back arched wanting to be closer to him.
“Patience.” Unhurriedly Luke pulled my panties down my legs, his eyes sweeping up and down my body as he did so. Once he was finished, he stood, towering over me. One hand grabbed his shirt behind his head, pulling it off. Dropping it, his hand went to the button of his shorts.
“Are you sure no one will see us?” I asked, my voice a mixture of nerves and sex.
“I promise. There’s no way in the world am I letting anyone see what I’m about to do to you.” Lowering his shorts and boxer briefs, his erection bobbed in the moonlight.
“Get down here now. I need you so bad.”
My sex throbbed with want.
Lowering himself, Luke rested his weight on top of me. Only holding himself up by one arm. I loved feeling his body takeover every inch of mine. His voice was rough as he said. “Are you ready for me?”
Skimming his hand up my inner thigh, Luke dipped two fingers into my core. Thrusting in and out, he curled his digits hitting the spot inside me only Luke had ever found.
“Oh, God,” I moaned, arching until every inch of skin touched his. “I want you inside of me.
Pulling his fingers out, Luke slipped them into his mouth. His eyes closed as he sucked each one clean. When his eyes opened, they burned bright. “Fuck you always taste so amazing.”
Sliding his erection through my slick folds, Luke kissed up my neck pressing me into the blanket and sand.
Somehow, I hadn’t noticed the sand that was on the blanket, but now it felt like it was invading every crevice on my body.
Luke’s brows furrowed as he sat back on his heels. “What’s wrong? Did I hurt you?”
“No,” I laughed. “The sand,” I wiggled trying to get it out of my ass crack. “It’s everywhere and I mean everywhere.”
Pulling me to stand, Luke guided me to the water. The moment the water hit my thighs, I froze. “Come on. Let’s get the sand off you.”
“Here’s good.” I started to splash water on my body with my free hand, trying to get the sand off me.
“Alex, you need to get in further if you want the sand out of your ass,” he laughed, trying to tug me further.
“I’m not sure I can go any further,” my voice wobbled.
Tilting his head to the side, Luke stepped closer. “Alex?”
“I guess you haven’t noticed when I get in the water, I only go out so far.” He stepped closer, his other hand gripped my hip. “And now it’s dark.”
Dipping his head down until he was eye level with me, his kind eyes found mine. “What does it being dark have to do with anything?”
“I’m scared. I can only go out as far as I can see the bottom, but now that it’s dark…” I trailed off looking down at the water.
“And you can’t see,” he finished for me. “What are you scared of?”
My head whipped up, he had to be kidding, right? “What am I scared of? Sharks,” I shrieked. “One could come up and bite us or eat us. DEAD.”
“Come here,” he coaxed. Reluctantly I went into his waiting arms. “I promise I’ll never let anything happen to you.”
“You can’t protect me from a shark. You can’t see any better than I can.” With my hands to his chest, I tried to push away, but he held me close.
“Trust me,” he kissed the corner of my mouth. “Neither of us are bleeding and what we’re about to do no shark is going to mistake as a wounded animal.”
“What are we going to do?”
“I might not be able to have sex with you on the beach, but I canmake love to you in the ocean.”
He wants to have sex in the ocean! What if a shark bites him in the ass?
“Stop over thinking it. If you get too scared, I promise I’ll take you back to our room, but I think I can keep your mind off what might be lurking in the water.”
“I’m not sure even your fine ass can get me to forget about the sharks that want to eat us.”
Pulling me flush against his straining erection, my legs instinctively went around his trim waist. With one nudge against my clit, I forgot all about sharks wanting to bite and eat us.
“You look beautiful in the moonlight,” Luke groaned as he pushed inside.
“Oh, God,” I moaned. “How do you always know the right things to say?”
Wrapping my arms around his neck, I lifted up and down Luke’s cock. The water lapped against our skin soothing our overheated flesh. Luke pumped his hips, his fingers digging into my upper thighs.
“Baby, I need you to touch yourself. I don’t think I can hold out much longer.”
It drove me wild that I could do this to him. My hand brushed across his abs and grazed the base of his cock as my fingers came into contact with my over-sensitized bundle of nerves. The moment he felt my touch, Luke’s mouth crashed into mine in a deep, soul melding kiss.
Circling my bundle of nerves, tingles traveled down my spine to deep into my core. My whole body clenched around Luke. Fireworks exploded behind my eyes and explosions sounded off. They became brighter and louder. Luke had never rocked my world to this extreme.
“Luke,” I ground down on his cock one last time, fireworks exploded throughout my body.
Jerking, Luke pumped once, twice, three times before he stilled deep inside of me. Biting down on my shoulder, he growled.
Peeling my eyes open fireworks lit up the sky. Their colors reflected in the ocean water, glittering on Luke’s glistening chest.
“Look,” I gasped.
His heavily lidded eyes opened, flicking up. “Happy New Year’s, beautiful!”
Luke pulled me into a deep, drugging kiss. When he pulled back my head was spinning.
“Wow, what a way to start the new year,” I stated breathlessly.
“Yes, indeed.”
Turning around with me in his arms, I laid my head on his shoulder as we watched the show.
Slipping out of me, Luke held onto me as he walked back to the beach. Once we were almost to the shore, Luke sat me down and we walked hand in hand back to the blanket.
“Did you bring towels?”
“I might have brought a towel or two.”
“You thought of everything,” I smiled at him. “You really are too good to be true.”
“Alex, you give me far too much credit. I’m not too good for you. We’re perfect together. Don’t you agree?”
“I do,” I answered with a beaming smile.
“No sharks bit a chunk of your ass off either,” Luke chuckled into my neck.
“If the people at H@T knew that you were out in the ocean in the middle of the night,” I laughed. “I’m pretty sure it goes against your contract.”
“What they don’t know won’t hurt them?” Kissing my shoulder where he bit me earlier, he spoke against my tingling skin. “You’re not going to tell on me, are you?”
“Never, I like it when you do bad things to me.”
“I’m sorry your beach sex didn’t work.”
“Don’t be sorry. It was the best sex of my life.”
“Mine too,” he reached for me, brushing his lips to mine. “This is the best way to start the year right. We need to do it every year.”
“I agree, but maybe not with Ruby,” I laughed. Turning serious, I laced my fingers with his. “I love you.”
Stopping in his tracks, Luke beamed down at me. I felt the same. Every time I said, ‘I love you.’ I nearly burst. “I love you, too, beautiful.”
Off to the left, I heard voices coming our way. I shifted behind Luke, pushing him toward the blanket.
“Oh my God, someone is going to see us,” I whisper-yelled. “You can’t get caught.”
Tears stung the backs of my eyes.
Rushing to the blanket, Luke pulled me with him as he fell on the blanket. He twisted at the last minute so I would be on top. Reaching to the side, he covered us with part of the blanket.
Sand covered me from head-to-toe. As the voices walked by, we laughed tangled up together, under the stars, on a beach in Mexico with the sand coating us.
